My Bio
I am a semi-pro photographer (b.1975) living on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Between shoots I am studying for a Masters Degree at the University of Victoria.

While I enjoy heavily adjusted photos, I prefer to work as closely to the original as possible without extensive adjustment. In difficult situations of high dynamic range I bracket my exposure and blend the images to achieve HDR. I shoot RAW uncompressed (and shoot to the right for more information when possible) and adjust/convert from RAW in Adobe Lightroom 2.0.

When I want to switch to B&W I use Vivesa Silver Efex.

After meeting a photographer a few years ago (Petra Barth) I was shamed into shooting only in manual mode and since then have really taken control of my photos. I highly recommend getting off Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority modes and getting in to 'the M'.

Be sure to visit my website www.capturedconcept.com and my blog at www.capturedconcept.com/blog.

Current Residence: Victoria BC Canada
Favourite photographer: Testino, Lachapelle, Seliger
Operating System: Vista 64-bit, just upgraded when my XP system died. Held out for a long time- I quite like it now.

After finishing my last class of my degree I packed up everything and fled to Hawaii where I finished my thesis. After Hawaii I decided to keep going and fled even farther to Brisbane Australia. Now that it has been almost a year since I left Victoria BC, I have decided to, yet again, pack up and move to London England. But first, on the way to London I am going to take some time in South East Asia, stop back in Hawaii, stop back home in Victoria BC, and then make the move to London. That's something like 10-12 countries in a year. I took down my website (www.capturedconcept.com) as it's platform (Microdoft Silverlight), while beautiful, is
